A small city with one very small engineer in it. You look after them: feed them, furnish their place, help them land a job they are not quite ready for yet.

house rules · these never change
01 The door is always open
Come back tomorrow or in a month. Nothing here decays while you are away.
02 Time only moves when you do
A day is 1440 minutes. Cooking spends 45 of them. Sleeping spends eight hours.
03 The city keeps hours
Habitat shuts at seven. The restaurant does not open until five. Plan the day.
04 Nothing here is for sale
Pebbles are earned in play and cannot be bought. There is no shop outside the city.
05 Nobody is graded
A missed question costs a question. Your engineer is never punished for it.
06 One real question a day
It comes from our question bank, the same one working engineers drill with.

What you actually do

You look after one junior engineer in a city of ten places. You cook or you eat out. You furnish a flat that gets more comfortable to work in. You take them to the library, watch a level land, and put them in front of a job they are one level short of. Rent arrives every seventh day, which is the reason a job matters at all.

One thing in the game is real: a single engineering question a day, from the same bank working engineers drill with. Your engineer learns twice as fast on the days you take it.
